California Street residence restoration

2418 California Street, Berkeley, CA

The California Street project is a restoration and addition to an 1893 City of Berkeley Landmark Queen Anne Victorian known as the Hunter House.  The original house was lifted and two new 1,000 square foot, two-bedroom units built below.  A 1,200 square foot addition to both the second and third floors of the main house created a family room and master bedroom suite.  The front porch features a fanciful filigree stair railing.
